MEND is a faith-based, affordable housing development organization that was incorporated as a New Jersey nonprofit corporation that develops, builds, owns and manages affordable rental housing in southern New Jersey. Our housing portfolio provides a wide variety of below-market rental apartments for low and moderate income individuals and families. MEND’s housing is available to households needing a helping hand in securing a decent, safe, affordable place to call home including single adults, senior citizens, families and persons with special needs. We work in partnership with municipalities which are seeking to fulfill their state-mandated affordable housing obligations.

Moorestown Ecumenical Neighborhood Development, Inc. (MEND) has received a $10,000 grant from the M&T Charitable Foundation, the philanthropic arm of M&T Bank, to support its mission of development and management of affordable housing in South Jersey.
John O’Meara, Jr., the township’s 2025 Citizen of the Year, celebrated the honor with family, friends and neighbors on Feb. 5.
“The staff and other tenants are like an extended family, always willing to help each other out when the needs arises – whether by offering information on resources such as summer camps or by helping out with the children.”
- Donna-Lee“I’m glad MEND makes this opportunity available. They are doing what the Bible tells us to do and what they intended when they were founded by nine Moorestown churches long ago, which is to take care of each other. It’s truly a blessing to be here.”
- Gloria Titus“I’m lucky to be living in such a safe and beautiful place that’s close to my family. It brings back a lot of happy memories for me. I plan on staying here for as long as I can.”
